Paris Saint-Germain seals first Ligue 1 summer transfer deal with Real Madrid midfielder

Paris Saint-Germain has signed Real Madrid's star midfielder, Isco, on a season-long loan deal.

The French club confirmed the move in a statement late Friday night, saying that the agreement was subject to UEFA approval and a medical review.

Isco, who has been a key player for PSG since he arrived from Atletico Madrid in 2016, will join the team in January, making his debut for the club against FC Nantes on February 24.

"It is a great honor to sign Isco for Paris Saint-Germain," said PSG coach Maurizio Sarri. "He is a very talented and experienced player who can add value to our squad."

Sarri praised the midfielder's skills and attributes, adding: "Isco is one of the best midfielders in Europe and we have no doubt about his ability to contribute to our team."

The 29-year-old striker has already made a significant impact at PSG, scoring five goals in 17 appearances this season.

The move comes just weeks after PSG secured their first Ligue 1 title under Sarri, having won the competition for the second time in four seasons.
